Aesthetics Through the Complexity of Grid is a type specimen book that showcases the art of origami by how it fully utilizes not only the basics of grid entirely, but how it embraces the ingenuity and complexities of design. Origami shows that with the limitations and challenges that of which paper can provide, designers have the ability to make innovations from these obstacles no matter how disciplined or restraining they can be. Such factors were discussed in Josef Muller-Brockman’s design analysis essay titled, Grid and Design Philosophy. Where as in Sam Hampton-Smith’s essay The Designer’s Guide to Grid Theory, it provides better insight on methods on how to better work with the logistics of grid on other design applications.
