Aztecs Rock Hunger is a campus-wide food drive that is held during every fall semester at San Diego State University. During his campaign, students, faculty, staff, residents, and visitors alike are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items and however much they want in monetary donations and for every $1 that is donated, the local food back can provide 6 lbs. of food for hungry San Diegans, including fresh produce, a welcomed, healthy alternative. This year's campaign involved the year of the hearts, where the main focus of the campaign is to emphasize love and health for those in need.
